What we keep, and what we don't

ScalperSense has no accounts and no login, so there is no profile of you to keep. Almost everything you personalise stays inside your own browser. This page says exactly what leaves it.

What stays in your browser

Your watchlist, holdings, journal entries, price alerts and page preferences are stored in your browser's localStorage. They are never uploaded, so they don't follow you to another device, and clearing your browser data deletes them permanently. We cannot recover them, because we never had them.

What the server records

We do not sell, rent or trade any of it, and we don't run analytics that build a profile of you across sites.

Advertising

This site carries advertising through Google AdSense to cover its hosting. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads, and may use your prior visits to this and other websites to show ads they judge relevant.

You can control this directly with Google, independently of us:

Blocking cookies in your browser also works. The site functions normally without them.

Other services your browser contacts

Loading a page here causes your browser to fetch a few things from other companies, which means those companies can see your IP address and that you visited:

Market data itself is fetched by our server, not by your browser, so NSE and BSE never see your address.

Children

This site is meant for adults who participate in Indian financial markets. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Your choices

Because we hold nothing that identifies you beyond server logs and any message you chose to send, most requests are simple: clearing your browser data removes everything held locally. If you have written to us and want that correspondence deleted, ask through the contact form and it will be.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date above changes with it. Continuing to use the site after that means you accept the revised version.
