Nasdaq delayed quotes · updates live in your browser
Delayed last-sale quotes from Nasdaq's public market-activity feed, cached on this server so a page load is not an upstream round trip. After-hours prints can sit a long way from the close. Educational only, not investment advice, and not a live trading terminal.
How to read the US tape from India
This page is the overnight input to the Indian open, not a US trading terminal. The quotes are delayed, the lists are filtered, and the useful question is almost never "is Apple up" — it is what kind of night Wall Street had, and what that usually does to Nifty in the morning.
Read the indices together, then Mag 7, then the rest
S&P 500, Nasdaq and the Dow disagree more often than a headline admits. A night where QQQ is up and DIA is down is a growth-vs-cyclical rotation, which is a different Indian morning from a night where all three printed the same colour. The Magnificent 7 row underneath is there because those seven names have been doing a disproportionate share of the index's work — if they are the whole move, the rest of the tape is quieter than the headline.
VIX is not on this board (Nasdaq does not publish it on the same feed). Treasuries (TLT), gold and crude are: a weaker bond ETF with a stronger dollar proxy is the classic overnight headwind for EM, India included.
Hot lists are filtered on purpose
An unfiltered US gainer tape is a $0.40 biotech. The most-active, gainer and loser lists here require both a $2bn market cap and half a million shares traded, so what you see is a name the rest of the market could actually get in and out of. Mega-cap is the same session ranked by how hard the largest companies moved, which is the tape that actually moves the indices.
That filter drops genuine small-cap events. If you came here looking for a 40% mover on no volume, this is the wrong page, and that is deliberate.
The research view is a briefing, not a model
Opening a name gives you the last sale, the session chart, the 52-week range, volume against average, the yield, a one-year target Nasdaq reprints, same-industry peers, and the headlines filed against the ticker. None of that is a view. The 52-week bar is the one to look at first: a stock at the top of its year on a quiet day is a different animal from one bouncing off the bottom on twice average volume.
The "why this matters in India" line is a mapping, not a forecast — US tech spend to Nifty IT, the barrel to the rupee and OMCs, US banks to FII risk appetite. It is there so the overnight tape is not read as a collection of foreign tickers with no bearing on tomorrow's open.
Where it will mislead you
These are delayed last-sale prints, not a live book, and after-hours prints can move a long way from the close you are looking at. Nasdaq's own market-status flag is preferred when it is present; the clock is the fallback, and the clock does not know about US holidays. A session that looks open on a federal holiday is a holiday.
And the Indian open is not a copy of this tape. GIFT Nifty has already traded most of it by 9:15 IST. Use the outlook for the actual opening read — this page is the evidence behind that read, not a substitute for it. Nothing here is investment advice; see the disclaimer.
